1976 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow
1976 Rolls-Royce Silver
Shadow Peacock Blue with Tan hide interior. Covered just 60,000 miles
having had just 4 former keepers.
SRH25934 was one of the last Silver Shadow’s to be built before the
series 2 was launched in 1977. It was delivered to Rolls-Royce agents, Lex
Mead, on the 15th October 1976. The first owner was Thomas
Tweedie & Sons ltd of Stockport. By 1979 the car had been sold to Mr
Greenberg of Anglo-American Amusements Co Ltd and continued to be
maintained by Lex Mead, Manchester. The next owner came in 1981, a Mr
Keneth Howarth of Buxton who owned the car from 1981 – 2014, during his
ownership, registered KEN 42, the car was maintained by Rolls-Royce main
agents and Scott Moncrieff, Rolls-Royce & Bentley specialists. Since 2014
the car has been owned by Mr Curwood, forming part of his collection of
classic cars. During his tenure it was maintained by marque specialists,
Shadow Motorcars. Offered with an impressive and comprehensive history
file which includes invoices back to 1979, MOT test certificates back to
1980 and tax discs back to 1981. Also included in the history file are
copies of the factory build records, correspondents from previous owners
and a stamped service book. This beautiful Silver Shadow remains in
exceptional condition having been maintained to a very high standard. The
Tan leather is soft and supple, the original fawn carpets in equally fine
order and the polished woodwork is perfect. The bodywork and beautiful
Peacock Blue paint are very pleasing as is the exterior brightwork.
Overall, this very late, low
ownership and mileage Silver Shadow is a very fine example indeed.
